The controversial treatment of Iowa star halfback Ozzie Simmons in 1934 was the beginning of the great college football rivalry trophy game that we know as the Floyd of Rosedale.
 
Above is an orignal schedule from the 1936 Iowa Football season.  It has a great image of Ozzie Simmons on it and is framed up with his autograph.  I have never seen another.
 
Below is a set of very cool items I have put together.  All of them represent the first year of the Floyd of Rosedale rivalry game between Minnesota and Iowa.   Autographed letters of both governors who started this great rivalry, along with a FULL Ticket and game program to the first game. You can read about the history of the Floyd of Rosedale rivalry at the link below.
